Natural Goat Milk Soap and lip balm.

We make our soap the old fashioned way. It is real, genuine soap. It is not a “beauty bar” or a “cleansing bar”. We use the saponification process where a fat (in this case, goats milk) and an alkaline (Lye a.k.a sodium hydroxide) are used carefully to create an exothermic reaction while maintaining a max temp of 70 degrees. They are then mixed with other oils, coloring and scents are added and it is blended until a thin pudding consistency is produced (called a trace). It's then poured into molds and refrigerated until firm and then cured for a minimum of 4 weeks before it is sold. It can be used right away but curing it allows the reaction to finish and the finished product lasts much longer.
